Leaps and Bounds

As I said in the previous post, these shots of the martial arts demonstration were hard to get.  In particular, when they started leaping into the air at heights that no human should be able to vertically reach, I found it hard to get good timing.  This is as good as I got as one guy held a block of wood as the other was about to make splinters out of the board.

At the bottom of the shot are the others, who are crouching in a ready-stance at full attention.  Very impressive.

I was really taking advantage of my D5000’s low-light capability at this event.  I had ISO up to 2000 and still didn’t notice much noise, especially on these smaller versions.
